**SOLD**
This incredible WWII-era foot locker is drab olive in color. Full of original character, it belonged to a Maine veteran named F.H. Farnum Jr. (name on the top), who lived a very full life until his passing in October of 2016. The inside of the trunk has been re-lined with a faux grasscloth wallpaper in a terracotta color. New black tapered legs give the trunk a little more height, making it functional as a coffee table. The latches on both sides of the trunk work well, as does the hinge inside of the trunk. To better protect the surface of the foot locker, this piece comes with a cut glass top and bumpers. The glass can be easily lifted off to access the inside of the trunk for storage.
The foot locker also has a partial original sticker from a shipment and some faded handwriting on the underside. Own a beautiful and functional piece of history that has traveled the world! Mr. Farnum also made furniture for his family, so it feels safe to say he'd appreciate the repurposing of his military trunk. Available for pickup in Windham, Maine, near the high school.
