This handsome oak washstand was originally a golden oak in color. Upon sanding down the top and drawer, we found beautiful, solid oak grain filled with character. The top has wormholes and knots- it seems that the original wood was covered by a faux finish to hide what would have been considered blemishes or imperfections.

The body of the washstand and the insides of the cabinet doors have been painted in '1 Headlight Blue' by Melange Paints, a moody, deep blue with teal undertones. The inside of the (dovetailed) drawer and cabinets have been refreshed with an unscented furniture tonic. The back of the washstand has a tag which is partially torn, but reads "The Read Line Established 1873". There is also a stamp indicating "No. 720."

New ceramic white and gold drop pulls add to the charm and class of this piece. Sealed in a satin polyurethane. Measuring 33" wide, 17.5" deep, and 29" high, there is plenty of storage. Available for pick up in Falmouth.
