Made by Gem Baby Land Furniture in Gardner, Massachusetts as a child's dresser- this gorgeous piece has 5 dovetailed drawers and a large lower storage compartment with a pull out clothes hanger concealed by a door. Made of solid wood (thin-cut maple), we added 8" tapered legs. The legs and top drawer have been whitewashed, while the remainder of the body and drawers were painted in Nautilus, a beautiful shade of navy blue by Wise Owl Paint. Updated gold cup pulls on the drawers and a new knob on the door brought this piece up to date. We opted to leave the pull out clothes hanger (it can easily be removed if desired) and added a removable maple shelf using wood from a dry sink that we previously refinished.  The light wood and the navy combination is stunning, especially with the satin poly finish! All drawers and compartments have been refreshed with a lemon verbena furniture tonic. This is a light, but clean scent that fades over time and rejuvenates the wood. The chifforobe measures 36.5" wide, 15.5" deep and 46" high. It would be an excellent storage piece in a bedroom, living room, or elsewhere to fit your needs. Available for pickup in Falmouth.
