This stunning 4-drawer dresser has been sanded down to natural wood. The wood grain is beautiful, and the tone of the wood is so even that we didn't feel this piece needed a paint wash of any kind. The entire dresser has been sealed with a clear polyurethane. The wood knobs have also been sanded down to natural wood and sealed with poly. Based on the pin and cove (or "Knapp") joinery of the drawers, we can date the dresser to have been made between 1870 and 1900. The character of this piece tells us a story of its life over the years- with marks and notches in the wood that are representative of its age. The insides of the drawers are in excellent condition and have been refreshed with an unscented furniture tonic- helping to add some moisture back into the wood. This is an incredibly versatile piece of furniture that would be perfect in a bedroom. It would also be excellent in a living room or dining room (think storage)! Measures 38½" wide, 17¼" deep, and 34¾" high. Available for pickup in Falmouth.
