This beautiful and rare pair of mid-century modern tables were manufactured by Lane in the 1960s and are part of a line called "Perception."

The set features a cube-shaped body sitting on top of modern legs. Each table has a single drawer at the top with a sculpted wooden pull and two basket weaved doors with a sculpted wooden pull that opens up to storage space. This is an iconic mid-century modern design by Lane.

The pieces did not lend themselves to be refinished entirely as solid wood. They were in fair shape overall, but one had seen far more wear than the other. To keep with their sleek design, they have been painted in Wise Owl Paint's Black - a true black with little, if any, undertones. The drawer fronts have been sanded back to reveal the walnut wood grain, and both pieces have been sealed with water-based satin polyurethane.

The cabinet doors function well and close with a magnet. The inside of the cabinet space has been revived with a lightly scented furniture salve. The drawers are dovetailed and run on a metal glide. The insides of the drawers have been lined with a black and gold metallic paper.

These tables are truly stunning and hard to come by. They would make an excellent pair of end tables or nightstands for a platform or lower style bed. They measure 26" wide, 18" deep, and 22¼" high. The cubby space inside the cabinet doors is approximately 10½" high, 26" wide, and 17½" deep. The price is for the pair. Available for pickup in Windham.
