What a transformation this piece has had! Formerly a bureau in pretty sad shape, this oak beauty has been repurposed into a kitchen cart/rolling island. When she came to us, this piece had bad veneer damage, was missing an entire drawer bottom, and had a huge hole in the remaining drawer. It was time to give her a whole new life! We opened up the sides by removing the side walls of the dresser, created new shelving units where the large drawers used to be, sanded down the top to get to the beautiful bare oak, and painted her in a color called Just Duckie by Miss Lillian's No Wax Chock Paint. We also added casters, some shiny vintage cup pulls and a brand new towel bar on the side that can hold your choice of a kitchen towel or a roll of paper towels. Measuring 40" wide, 19" deep and 36.5" high, this lovely piece could be used either as as a kitchen cart for storage, or possibly even as a rolling island (the back has also been painted). The shelf spaces measure approximately 7.75" high and 7.25" high. The top has been sealed with several layers of polyurethane and the body has been waxed. The insides of the top drawers have been left original, but have been refreshed with some salve to help protect the wood. Please see last 2 photos for the back of the piece. Because it was a bureau (last 2 photos) at one time, it has a slight imperfection on the bottom where it has warped, but the wood is totally solid (cannot be popped back out). A pair of bar stools would easily hide this should you use this piece as an island.  Incredibly unique and such a pretty color, make her yours today! Available for contact-free pickup in Falmouth.
