Humidors are one of our favorite types of furniture to refinish! Designed to store cigars, cigarettes, or pipe tobacco, vintage and antique humidors come in a wide range of sizes and styles which make them versatile pieces of furniture. The top of this humidor had badly damaged veneer. We removed the veneer and sanded the top down to showcase the natural wood tones and grain. The body was painted in Jacob's Well by Melange Paints- a beautiful, deep hunter green. The knob on the cabinet is original- including its brassy patina. The cabinet door opens to a reveal a dark wood inside, which has been refreshed with a lemon verbena salve. The top of the humidor was sealed with polyurethane and the rest has been sealed with an unscented furniture wax. Measuring 20" wide, 15" deep and 26" high, it would be perfect between a pair of chairs or even between two beds as a small nightstand. Have a small nook or corner that needs a little something?
