This lovely oak washstand went from dark and drab to light and fab! Made of solid oak, the top has been sanded down to raw wood and given a paint wash in the color Driftwood by Country Chic Paint. 
The body has been painted in the color Happy Hour, a soft minty green, also by Country Chic. The entire piece has been sealed with satin polyurethane. Updated hardware,  including apothecary pulls on the drawer and a ceramic teardrop pull on the door, add to the beauty of this piece. 
Inside the cabinet, the bottom has been  replaced with a new wood underlayment. Magnetic closures hold the doors closed. Both the drawer and the cabinet floor have been lined with a white and black twig print. 
This piece would be perfect for a smaller-sized space in need of additional storage. It would even be an excellent nightstand!
