This beautiful solid oak 3-drawer dresser has been completely overhauled - from the inside out! The inside of the dresser has been largely rebuilt. The drawer glides needed a ton of attention, as did the drawers themselves. The top of the dresser was badly warped and cracked. 
 
After repairing all of the inside damage (adding new glides, a new drawer bottom, removing old nails that were sticking out inside the drawer) and the parts that are hard to see, but important for functionality, I turned my attention to the top of the dresser. In order to fix the cracks and the warping, it needed to be carefully broken into a few pieces and set in damp towels in the sunshine to help unwarp the wood. After the unwarping process, the top was glued and clamped back together and reattached with new screws.  
 
Time to paint! This stunning color is Fusion Mineral Paint's French Eggshell, a pale blue with the slightest hint of greyish-green. It is serene, yet bold at the same time. It pairs perfectly with the wash of Country Chic's Driftwood on the dresser top and both look fabulous sealed with water-based satin polyurethane. New, round, wooden keyhole covers adorn the dovetailed drawers which can easily be opened and closed. White ceramic and oil-rubbed bronze teardrop pulls make for the perfect finishing touch on the outside of the drawers. The insides of the drawers have been lined with a pretty blue and white swirl print. This dresser has so much character and would be perfect for a number of spaces and uses.
