Manufactured by French & Heald Co. of Milford, New Hampshire, this solid maple, 4-drawer dresser got a bold and beautiful update! Starting with the base, we removed the original trimwork and cut the base down to a flat surface. We added new 4" black metal legs to give the dresser a little more height. After a good cleaning and sanding, we painted the body and drawers in a bold, crimson red called 'Paint the Town' by Country Chic Paint. We added new squared modern pulls in flat black from D. Lawless Hardware to match the aesthetic of the new legs. Lastly, we smoothed the top out to raw maple- the color and wood grain is stunning against the red paint color. We sealed the entire piece using water-based satin polyurethane. The insides of the drawers have been refreshed using Country Chic Paint's hemp oil, a 100% natural and eco-friendly product. The outsides of the drawers are dovetailed and slide well on their original wood drawer glides. This dresser is very well-made and quite heavy - it's solid maple throughout.
