This stunning vintage pine blanket chest has gone from a worn, orange finish to a beautiful scrubbed/raw pine look!
After removing the old finish, the chest was sanded down to raw wood. A custom paint wash was applied, and the chest was sealed with a satin polyurethane. 
The insides of the drawers have been lined with a lovely floral print. The drawers have also been refreshed with an unscented furniture tonic to refresh the wood and help prolong its life. New champagne gold knobs were added to the drawers to complete the look. The inside of the blanket chest was refreshed with unscented furniture tonic. The top of the chest stays up when open using a chain on each side.
This piece has loads of character and would provide great storage. It's also a good size for a coffee table piece and has been refinished all the way around, so the back is just as beautiful as the rest of the chest.
