🐦⬛ This beautiful oak Eastlake-style dresser was made between the late 1800s and the early 1900s, as evidenced by the pin and cove (or Knapp) joints. The top has been sanded down and given a very light paint wash to reveal the original, gorgeous oak grain.
🐦⬛ The body and drawers have been painted in Vagabond Blue - a deep, moody blue black by Mélange Paints.
🐦⬛ Original wooden carved keyhole covers and new champagne gold knobs grab your attention, with a pop of color lining the insides of the drawers. The drawers have been refreshed with an unscented furniture tonic and an unscented wax to help revive the wood. The entire piece has been sealed with a satin polyurethane. The color of this dresser acts as a chameleon - almost black in some lighting and a very deep blue in other lighting.
🐦⬛ This piece has tons of original character and charm but has been updated to last another 100+ years. It would be perfect in any bedroom or nursery as a standard dresser, or it could be used as an oversized nightstand next to one bed or between two beds. Use it for extra storage in a smaller nook, in a dining room, or under the stairs! A truly versatile piece, it complements many different spaces and design styles. Available for pickup in Windham, Maine, near the high school. Please see below for detailed measurements.
