🌊 This vibrant set of mid-century modern tables has been brought back into style! The tops on this set were covered in a heavy, dark, outdatedformica with a faux wood grain that didn't match the blonde finish on the rest of the body, drawers, and base. After removing the formica covering and extra trim on the edges, there was solid oak underneath!
🌊 The tops were cleaned up with some trimming and sanding, and then it was time to move on to the rest. One of the four original drawer pulls was broken, so the old hardware holes were filled. Everything but the base of the tables was painted using Wise Owl Paint's One Hour Enamel in the color Poseidon, a moody blue green. The base of each table is beautiful, natural oak.
🌊 New (salvaged) gold bar pulls were added to the drawers, and the insides of the drawers were lined with a beige and white botanical print. The tables were sealed with a water-based satin polyurethane for extra durability. New backs were cut and attached, and the backside of these pieces has also been painted.
