This stunning antique washstand cabinet is made of pine. It has been completely sanded down to the original wood grain and sealed lightly with a satin polyurethane. During the course of its lifetime, the drawer was removed or lost and made into a shelf space. To make this update more functional, this piece comes with a solid wood tray that fits the former drawer space like it was meant to be. The washstand also has a generous cubby space for additional storage under the tray space.
Both doors close with a magnet and have beautiful antique bronze knobs. The interior of the cubby space has been revived with an unscented wood tonic to add moisture back into the wood. There is a light mark on the top right corner of the top which did not sand out, but seems to add to the character of this heirloom cabinet. There is also a hole in the top back of the cabinet which can be covered or used for easy electronic access. The neutral, airy wood tones of this piece make it highly desirable. It would be phenomenal in an entryway where you could use the tray as a catchall for your keys, sunglasses, wallet, etc.
