🖤 This tall, 5-drawer, antique oak dresser had been partially stripped and needed some TLC. After sanding the entire dresser down to raw wood using a multi-step process, the bottoms of each drawer were cut out and replaced with fresh wood. The frame of the dresser also received some repairs to help strengthen the overall structure and ensure that the drawers would glide smoothly once replaced.
🖤 After a thorough cleaning, the whole dresser was sealed in a satin polyurethane to preserve the wood tones and add protection. The drawers were waxed on the outsides and refreshed with an unscented furniture tonic on the insides. Then, the drawers were lined with a modern black and white geometric print. 
🖤 The original keyhole covers were painted a satin black and reinstalled to match the new black knobs that now adorn the drawers. This classic dresser has a scalloped top, dovetailed joinery, and is full of charm! The top drawer has some worm holes, and while there is wear consistent with age, the dresser is in great shape overall. It's ready to live the next 100 years in your home!
