This stunning solid cherry cedar-lined chest was manufactured by West Branch Novelty Co. in Pennsylvania. We sanded the entire piece down to raw wood and gave it a paint wash using the color Driftwood by Country Chic Paint. We removed the felt liner from the bottom drawer and refreshed it with cedar oil. 
At some point along the way, the chest had a few small repairs to the wood veneer on top as well as a minor repair on one side. These repairs appear to have been well done and don't affect the overall aesthetic, so we opted to leave them for authenticity. New hardware on the drawers and a couple of coats of satin polyurethane gave the chest the modernized finish it needed. 
This cedar chest is larger than most and very heavy. Measuring 45" wide, 26½" high and 19" deep, it has plenty of storage space and is in excellent condition inside. The latch for the lock has been removed for safety reasons. This cedar chest would be a beautiful addition to any room in your home. The natural wood look makes it easy to coordinate with other pieces. Available for pickup in Windham.
