A one-of-a-kind piece of furniture, this gorgeous antique dresser has been brought back to life! When we acquired it, the wood on the top was stained and discolored from years of use. The glove boxes weren't secured, and the entire top was coming apart from the body of the dresser. The drawer bottoms were falling out and the mirror had 2 mismatched wood "dowels" barely holding it in place. After several repairs, lots of sanding, and a very thorough cleaning, we got to work painting and staining.
 
The body of the dresser has been painted in Thistle Green - a muted, neutral sage by Melange Paints. The wood on the drawer fronts was too pretty to paint and in good shape overall, so we mixed up a custom stain using General Finishes Candlelite and Colonial Maple gel stains. The entire piece has been sealed in satin polyurethane. The drawers on this piece all boast hand carved dovetails and new ceramic teardrop pulls. Each drawer has been lined with a pretty floral print - the glove box drawers, too! 
Aside from some minor cosmetic imperfections to be expected on an antique (nail holes from old nails), this dresser is in excellent condition. We suspect that at some point, the mirror was replaced - the glass is in near-perfect condition. The mirror and harp (or arms) supporting the mirror may be removed for easy transport. The glove box drawers on the top are opened using the pull of a finger. Available for pickup in Windham.
