A one-of-a-kind piece of furniture, this gorgeous antique dresser has been brought back to life! When we found it, all of the drawer glides were all broken or missing. We rebuilt the inside, and got to work on the outside. The body of the dresser also needed lots of structural work, so we glued, clamped and wood filled until everything was back where it belonged. The original carved wood drawer pulls were also broken or missing. After finding a set that felt period sympathic to the age of the piece (late 1800s - early 1900s), we stained them to match and attached the "new" drawer pulls. The wood on the drawer fronts was too pretty to paint and in good shape overall. The shell of the dresser has been painted in a custom mix of greens by Melange Paints and finished in a satin polyurethane. The drawers fronts have been refreshed and sealed with hemp oil, and the insides have been cleaned up with a furniture tonic. Aside from some minor cosmetic imperfections to be expected on an antique, this dresser is in excellent condition. A gold key is included for aesthetics, and the glove drawers on the top can be slid open using the pull of a finger. The dresser measures 38¼" wide, 17¾" deep and 34¼" high at dresser top, 39¼" to top of glove drawers. Available for pickup in Falmouth.
